Huawei’s smartphone e-brand – Honor announces a new phone in the Indian market 8 Pro. The new Honor 8 Pro would take the market to another level, however, OnePlus already did the same by introducing OnePlus 5. If you compare both the devices, then more or less, both seem similar but the major difference is the price.
The new flagship phone would be available at INR 29,999 exclusively on Amazon.in, while OnePlus s priced about 2k higher. Let’s take a look at the phone’s features…
Honor 8 Pro has a 5.7-inch 2K display (1440 x 2560 pixels), dual-lens camera at the back and a massive 4000 mAh battery. The phone is backed by 16NM Kirin 960 octa-core processor combined with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM (that can be further expanded via micro SD card to 256GB)
On the other hand, OnePlus 5 has a 5.5-inch screen (1080 x 1920 pixels), dual-lens camera at the back and 3300 mAh battery. The phone is backed by Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor. OnePlus 5 comes in two variants one with 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM, second 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. There is no microSD slot so you have to depend on the ROM.
One can clearly see that in terms of screen, and storage, Honor 8 is better, however both companies better overall experience. But considering the specs, I think, Honor 8 is better phone yet available at lower price. However, another question strikes to my mind “Why”. Yes, when Honor has a good device with better specs, then why it kept the pricing lower? Is it because OnePlus 5 announced earlier and Honor gets a chance to revise the pricing to grab more attention?
